Weather Education Day at Wrigley Field

The Chicago Cubs are pleased to announce the inaugural Weather Education Day at Wrigley Field on Friday, September 3. Prior to the 1:20 p.m. game vs. the New York Mets, the Cubs and Fox Chicago Chief Meteorologist Amy Freeze will host a 20 minute program.

Understanding the science of why weather affects baseball can make the game even more exciting! Tracking temperatures, watching winds and understanding humidity may let you know why a batter has a better chance of hitting the ball out of the park or why the pitcher can't keep his fastball in the box!

Fox Chicago Chief Meteorologist Amy Freeze will educate students on how weather affects the game of baseball. There will also be fascinating facts on the way Wrigley Field and the Cubs handle everything from rain to lightning to hurricanes!
